The Gordon Family

I have had the pleasure to photograph the Gordon family over the last 6-years. I have watched the little ones grow and have even helped welcome a new member to the family! What an honor.

When we started this journey together, Adisa was just a tiny 1-year-old baby. His older sister Thandiwe was (and is) a sassy little thing! And I mean that in the absolute best possible way. We always have so much fun together! I love the hugs and kisses we exchange every time we meet. We did a princess shoot together not too long ago, and I was just so thrilled to see the smile on her face. You could tell she wasn’t playing dress-up. Thandiwe is a real-life princess. 

Recently, I got to meet the newest addition to the family – Ka’amen-re. Even though he’s just a little thing right now, he’s just as much fun as the other kids! 

I’m so grateful to be able to work with this family and to watch them grow over the years. The Gordons are incredible parents, and you can feel the love they have for their children and each other when you look at their photographs. 

I think family photographs are so powerful. Just look at these 5 people standing together as one unit. Think of all they’ve done to get where they are today and everything they’re going to do in the future; where their kids are going to take themselves; the impact they’re going to make on the world. 

Family portraits are more than just pictures. They’re symbols of strength, unity, love, and devotion.
