Our Family Shoot
I had the absolute honor to photograph the Hughes family photo session!
They recently welcomed a little boy into their family – Preston King Hughes. Isn’t he just adorable!? I still can’t get over that curly head of hair!
This young man is the first grandchild in their family. It was a really special moment for mom and dad, so they wanted to include Preston’s grandmother. She was so touched by the moments they shared that day that she cried a few times during the shoot!
I can only imagine how emotional it must be to watch your children grow up and then finally see them have a family of their own. It’s so special to take time to capture the emotion during these moments in photographs. We can’t hold onto our children or grandchildren forever, but we can hold onto memories forever! Photographs help us solidify those moments and give us something to look back to, even many decades in the future.
Photographing first-time parents can be hard at times – I can tell that mom and dad are exhausted and they can’t wait to get home, put their pajamas back on, and cuddle up on the couch together! But this family was an absolute joy from beginning to end. Even little Preston was nothing but smiles! Until the end, that is, when his eyes said, “Wrap it up I need lunch and a nap!”
I think we can all learn a little bit from babies: spend more time with your loved ones, eat food that nourishes your body, and get plenty of rest!
I’m so happy that I was able to meet the Hughes Family, and I can’t wait to see Preston grow up!
